Frequently asked questions about double-glazed curtains
How do they differ from standard glass curtains?
The system retains a frameless arrangement and uses double glazing with an air cavity. The composition is confirmed in the quotation.
How much does the thermal insulation improve?
The cavity may contribute to thermal insulation. Results depend on the full composition, installation and property; specific energy savings cannot be promised.
Do they cut noise from the street?
Double glazing may help reduce sound transmission compared with single glazing. Acoustic performance depends on the complete system and surroundings.
Are the views still uninterrupted?
Yes. The principle behind all our systems is unchanged: no frames and no aluminium mullions between the panels. Between inside and out there is nothing but glass.
When is this version the better choice?
This may be considered when additional insulation is a priority. A site visit lets us compare it with our standard glass curtains.
Is the installation any different?
The process starts with a review and measurement. The solution and installation scope are set out in the quotation.
